Vinification/Ageing: 11 days maceration, controlled low temperature fermentation in stainless steel with selected yeasts. 10 months ageing in both stainless steel and neutral barrels. No fining or filtering.
Description: Ruby red with hues of garnet. Delicate nose with hints of cherry, chestnut blossom and cedar. On the palate, the wine is full and well balanced, with good length, earthy minerality and bright acidity.
88 Points, Vinous: "From its translucent red color, you might think that the 2018 Etna Rosso Outis was a rosé. It presents a smoky bouquet of musky cherries, sweet spice and crushed rocks. This is soft yet lively, decidedly floral and buzzing with a mix of zesty acids and tart red berries. While a bit short, a twang of sour citrus and minerals keeps the mouth watering for more."
