2022 'Bansigu' Rosso Colline Savonesi IGT


Case of 12 bottles

Varietals: Minimum 70% Grenache, with blending of Rossese, Barbera, Cinsault and a lower percentage of other native varietals.

Vineyard: Arroscia Valley. Vineyards of Ortovero and Pogli, close to the Mediterranean scrub woods. Lean, rocky soils, mostly sedimentary rock and blue calcareous clay.

Vinification/Ageing: skin-contact maceration for 6 days. Fermentation and ageing exclusively in steel, where the malolactic fermentation is carried out. Available from the first spring subsequent to harvest.

Alcohol: 14.5%

Description: Cherry red with deep and intriguing notes of wild rose, strawberry tree, plum and aromatic herbs. Racy on the palate, savoury on the finish, balanced with bright acidity. Balsamic notes on the nose and palate round out the glass. Bansigu, the Ligurian dialect word for “swing”, is a red, Mediterranean-style wine. Meet your new favourite spunky yet casual wine.
