2018 Faro DOC

Case of 6 bottles

Varietals: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Nocera

Vineyard: 250m to 300m ASL; oldest vines are 80 years old and planted in Alberello style, the younger are 10 years old, trained in espalier system; soil is a medium mixture characterized by layers of clay and tuff calcrete. No addition of chemical additives on the grapes.

Vinification/Ageing: Fermentation in both large oak and stainless steel; 20 day maceration. Ageing for 24 months in 30 hl oak barrel and steel with 10 months in bottle before release. About 7,000 bottles made.

Description: Aromatic with vibrant red fruit, Mediterranean herbs and earthy complexity. Integrated tannins and a distinct minerality are balanced with the nocera's acidity. This is focused and precise with incredible structure.
