2019 'Il Campitello' Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG

 Case of 6 bottles

Varietals: 90% Sangiovese, 7%, Canaiolo, 3% Colorino (ORGANIC)

Ageing/Vinification: Campitello is the oldest vineyard in Monteraponi at 44 years old, separated from the others by a forest. Vinification of this prestigious cru takes place through spontaneous fermentation in concrete vats, followed by a very long skin maceration for a minimum of 40-45 days. The wine is then aged for 26 months in large French and Slovenian oak, followed by 3 months in concrete, where it decants naturally before it is bottled by gravity without any filtration or clarification during the waning moon.

Description: The colour is a ruby red to garnet. Scents of spice and red fruit at the start suggest how powerful this wine is. Balsamic aromas, rich, velvety softness, and high acidity with lasting notes of mint on the palate offer a typical taste of a Tuscan Riserva. Perfect with red game meat.
