Varietals: 100% Grillo
Vineyard: 500m above sea level; Medium texture soil tending to compact, interspersed with limy tufa, 4,000 to 5,000 plants per hectare.
Yield: 9 tons (well under procedural guideline is 13)
Vinification/Ageing: 5 to 8 day maceration on skins. Fermentation in 150hl stainless steel with 4 to -6 months ageing in steel followed by refining in bottle.
Alcohol: 13%
Description: Straw yellow with jasmine and exotic fruit on the nose. Fresh, fruity and dry with well balanced acidity. Suliccènti, in the dialect of eastern Sicily, signifies ‘sun from the west’.
