"At 450 metres, this 1.7ha vineyard is enclosed within the walls of the San Lorenzo convent. When the nuns retired in 2005, Mamete Prevostini took over the plot, replanting Nebbiolo vines in an east-west direction to allow for greater sun exposure. A procession of peppermint, cinnamon stick, clove, pepper, and anise wafts from the glass. Very smooth and polished, wood nuances integrate seamlessly with generous cherry and strawberry fruit depth. Sophisticated chalky tannins deftly frame the whole and the finish is a sappy and balsamic." - 94 Points, Decanter
