95 Points - Wine Enthusiast: "Aromas of underbrush, crushed mint and new leather mingle with a whiff of wild rose. The full-bodied, savory palate shows poise and structure, delivering dried cherry, orange zest, grilled porcini and licorice. It closes on an almond note while taut, fine-grained tannins offer support."

90 Points - Vinous: "Germano's 2017 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba is a very pretty, gracious wine. Transparent and light on its feet, the 2017 nevertheless packs plenty of punch. Dried autumn leaves, spice, rose petal and sweet dried cherry all grace this sinewy, mid-weight Barolo. The 2017 offers plenty of complexity and quite a bit of character. It's a terrific wine in its peer group."
