Varietals: 100% Susumaniello (grapes are racked and dried for 2-3 weeks before pressing)
Vinification/Ageing: 16 day maceration with malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. 5-6 months ageing in steel, 12 months in French oak barrique, bottle aged for an additional 12 months.
Description: Dark garnet red with violet reflections. An elegant and complex bouquet of black cherries and plums in brandy, blackcurrant and blackberry jam, hints of chocolate, juniper, nutmeg, liquorice, cinnamon and ink. Intense palate with a long finish, the result, powerful acidity and fine grained tannins.
