Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red in colour. Good intensity of aromas based on fruity tones, blackberry and blood orange, subtle minerality, ash tones, elegant spiciness of star anise.

Ageing/Vinification: 20 days on the skins, controlled low temperature fermentation in stainless steel with selected yeast. Aged 8 months in wood with min 6 months in bottle before release.

Vineyard: Vineyards are located on the lower slopes of Mount Vesuvius volcano, inside a national park. Vines planted in 1970, 250m to 300m above sea level, South West Facing, on volcanic soil.
