Tasting Notes: Medium golden-yellow in colour. Aromas of ripe apples, quince, honey, and caraway. Powerful and hearty on the palate, with juicy fruit and intense spice that is reminiscent of anise and pepper.

Ageing/Vinification: 2/3 of the must ferments and ages in stainless steel tanks 1/3 in 30 hl oak casks. Aged for 10 months.

Vineyard: The Abbazia di Novacella is located in the northern-most winegrowing region on the southern side of the Alps. This Gruner comes from Bressanone valley basin, with an altitude of 650m to 700m above sea level, facing south, south/west. The soil consists of permeable moraine deposits composed of mica schist, para gneiss and quartzite.
