Tasting Notes: Intense straw-yellow colored with bright gold-green nuances. Depth and purity on the nose: aromas of Mediterranean aromatic herbs (sage, thyme, resin), ripe yellow fruit (peach and mango), citron rind, acacia honey with a fine silica silica. Mouth-filling, balsamic and mineral on the palate, ending on a note of savoury almond and candied citrus fruit.

Ageing/Vinification: Soft pressing, removal of solid matter from the must and beginning of fermentation in steel. Fermentation and ageing in barrel on the lees without racking for ten months. Bottle ageing for eight months.

Vineyard: A careful selection of grapes from our oldest vineyards, over 50 years old. U Baccan, the local dialect word for “boss”, expresses the Pigato variety’s complexity and great personality. Over the years, it has proven its excellent potential for ageing.
