Tasting Notes: A finely meshed red with round and creamy tannins woven with a subtle streak of smoky mineral. Flavours of dried cherry and raspberry fruit, a touch of cured tobacco and accents of ground white pepper and citrus.

Ageing/Vinification: Traditional red vinification in concrete tanks and large oak tini without temperature control. Maceration on skins for approximately 20 days. 18 months ageing in concrete tanks and large oak tini with spontaneous development of malolactic fermentation.

Vineyard: Located on the Northern slope of Mount Etna at Passopisciaro. Old, ungrafted vineyards at an elevation between 300m and 900m above sea level on volcanic soils.
