Sale price $335.40 ($27.95/BTL)

Case of 12 bottles

Bottle Size: 750 ml

Vintage: 2020

Alcohol %: 14.5

Region: Piemonte

Tasting Notes: Moliss is a Piedmontese word, not Italian, meaning the 'middle son'. Intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. Aromas of fruit, vanilla, and spices. The palate is dry and flinty, round and full. Gentle, integrated tannins, and just the right balance of acidity allow the wine show its full personality. The long finish has notes of tabacco and dried fruit.

Ageing/Vinification: 13 to 15 days maceration in the marc with frequent pumping. Alcoholic fermentation at 28-30° C and malolactic fermentation within December. 11 months refinement from January, partly in 30-hectolitre barrels of Austrian oak, and partly in 500-litre casks made of Allier oak. Blending in stainless steel vats and bottling the following May. Ageing in bottles for about 5 to 6 months before release.

Vineyard: All estate owned in the Commune of Agliano Terme, with some vines in the Commune of Montegrosso. The winery is about 10 hectares, most of which are dedicated to Barbera, with small amounts of Grignolino, Syrah and Dolcetto. Single vineyards, sustainable farming of vines that were planted in 1985. Approximately 230m above sea level with south-east exposure on clay / limestone soil.
