the prestigious Montosoli hill
The vineyards of Casanuova delle Cerbaie can be found nestled just beneath the charming village of Montalcino. The vines sit at an elevation of approximately 350 meters above sea level, sprawling upwards and are surrounded by lush olive groves and woodland. The beautiful region embodies the quintessential Toscana way wine lovers have come to know and love.
The soils date back to the Eocene period, characterized by a rich blend of limestone, marl and clay. With a prevailing north-west exposure, the vineyards bask in sunlight all day long, while the gentle northerly winds ensure optimal ventilation throughout the majority of the year. With this, they focus on quality, with limited quantities for maximum terroir expression.

Commitment, continued
Casanuova delle Cerbaie's winemaking journey began in the early 1980s, sparked by a German enthusiast's passion for Italy and its wines. Through meticulous restoration, the old farm was revived, and wine production quickly followed. Flash forward to 2008, an admirer of Montalcino and Brunello assumed control, expanding vineyards and cellar facilities and collaborating closely with local expert Alessandro Brigidi. Today, they continue in their pursuit of excellence, with continual investments and dedication in producing top-tier wines.
