distinctive wines of great integrity
The winery of Castiglion del Bosco and its vineyards are surrounded by the rolling hills of Tuscany, acres of forest and gorgeous ridge lines. Its beauty has clearly been recognized, as it is now listed as a Natural Park by UNESCO. The land the winery sits upon is rocky and considered nutrient-poor as far as soils go. However, these growing conditions are the perfect environment for wines with remarkable structure and complexity, which they do incredibly well.
Rooted in appreciation for the land, they adhere to a low-intervention philosophy of natural viticulture. A practice they strongly uphold to achieve the delicate balance essential in their winemaking.

In the spirit of continuity
The history of Castiglion del Bosco dates back to 1100 A.D, with an original tower of the first castle built still on the grounds. Originally reflecting tales of a difficult past, throughout the decades incredible artists and farming initiatives have left their mark in Borgo, shaping the landscape to its current glory. In 1967, Castiglion del Bosco played a pivotal role as a founding member of the Brunello di Montalcino Consortium.
Fast forward to 2003, when Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo breathed new life into the estate. Their vision revitalized both the architecture and winemaking processes, propelling Castiglion del Bosco into the spotlight for its exceptional wines. Dedicated to growth and development, they've expanded to creating an oasis of top tier wine tourism and hospitality.
