Sangiovese in their veins
Istine sits beside the charming medieval village of Radda in Chianti, surrounded by towering walls and lush landscapes. The vineyards are located on three different plots, each offering distinguished characteristics from the high altitudes and predominantly rocky soils. Considerably perfect for enhancing the qualities of Chianti, it results in wines that are fresh, elegant and mineral-rich.
With three key vineyards, they range from most historic, to new plantings, all varying in elevations and sun exposure. Each plot contributes to the distinctiveness of the wines, making them a true reflection of each property.

New chapter, old roots
In 1959, Bruno Fronti established a successful agricultural service business, which thrived with the help of his sons, Fabio and Stefano. By 1982, the family planted their first vineyards after purchasing land in Radda and Gaiole. For years, their grapes were sold in bulk to other wineries, until the 2009 harvest, when they proudly bottled their first wine under their own family label.
With the introduction of the second generation, the winery has grown while staying true to its traditions and the unique qualities of the Chianti region. Certified organic since 2016, the Fronti family is committed to respecting nature and those who work in their beloved vineyards. Their wines embody the dedication to preserving the land’s natural wealth and showcasing the exceptional characteristics of Chianti’s highest vineyards, now under the passionate lead of Angela Fronti.
