Only the best grapes
Nestled in the heart of Alto Salento near Carovigno, Puglia, is where the beautiful Carvinea property can be found. Their wines reflect the unique terroir shaped by local tuft stone, a Mediterranean climate, and the gentle sea breezes from the Adriatic and Ionian seas.
To elevate the grapes' quality, pruned bunches are deliberately left on the ground, enriching the concentration of flavour and aroma in the remaining fruit on the vine. This meticulous vineyard work yields balanced, elegant wines, reflecting their belief that great grapes are the foundation of exceptional production.

"To be curious, to wonder, to be passionate, this is the essence of my life..."
The name Carvinea pays homage to the medieval meaning 'Carovigno,' likely meaning 'fruitful' and symbolizes the region's fertile soil. Established in 2002 by Beppe di Maria, his dedication saw the restoration of nine vineyards to their former glory, surrounding the historic 16th-century Masseria Pezza d’Arena. Collaborating with renowned enologist Ricardo Cotarella, Beppe's vision and passion have propelled Carvinea to produce award-winning wines, blending both international and native grape varieties.
