Rich, aromatic spirits
At the base of the Alpine valleys in Piemonte, Bordiga distillery crafts a remarkable range of spirits including Amaro, Amaretto, Aperitivo, Gin, Vermouth and Vodka. The region's unique climate is influenced by significant altitude and maritime elements, which enriches the essential oils of the locally sourced ingredients used.
A defining feature of Bordiga is its meticulous sourcing of botanicals, hand-selected by mountaineers. Each herb is carefully chosen and macerated in alcohol at varying degrees and durations. Managing all infusions and distillations in-house, they adjust their process between dried and fresh herbs to best preserve the 'soul' of each ingredient. This deliberate approach intensifies the aromatic scents of mountain herbs and botanicals, resulting in a rich and distinctive bouquet in every bottle.

Distilled with passion, a timeless craft that carries on
Bordiga's story began in Turin in 1888, when herbalist Pietro Bordiga revolutionized the local vermouth industry with his expertise in botanical flavorings and essential oils. His vermouth quickly gained popularity, leading him to move to Cuneo and renovate an ancient distillery. Over 135 years later, the distillery stands as a testament to Pietro's legacy. The last surviving Bordiga, now 90, has entrusted the family's treasured recipes to master distiller Mario Cerri, who is training the talented Nicola and Francesco to continue the craft. The distillery still uses the 18th-century copper still that Pietro discovered, symbolizing their enduring commitment to quality. Bordiga's spirits, steeped in tradition and expertise, proudly uphold their Italian craftsmanship.
