Cataldi Madonna
The Revival of Pecorino
Cataldi Madonna epitomizes excellence in Abruzzo's winemaking landscape. Situated in Ofena, within the natural amphitheatre of the Gran Sasso mountain range, their vineyards thrive at altitudes from 320 to 440 meters above sea level.
Here, the ideal microclimate, shaped by mountain breezes and a Mediterranean influence, fosters optimal conditions for cultivating indigenous varieties such as Montepulciano, Pecorino and Trebbiano. These grapes thrive in the nutrient-rich soils, imparting a distinct terroir-driven character to Cataldi Madonna's wines.
