Four Vineyards, One Vision
In the heart of Alto Piemonte, Le Pianelle's vineyards are framed by the majestic Alps to the North and the lush rice fields of the Po Valley to the South. This unique location, with elevations between 300 and 425 meters, offers a diverse terroir that imparts a distinct character to the wines. The estate boasts four vineyards, each contributing unique qualities to their portfolio. From their oldest and most historic vineyard to the newest additions acquired as recently as 2020, each plot enhances the complexity and richness of their wines in their own way.
The sandy, porphyry soils, combined with the area's varying climate, create ideal conditions for cultivating an amazing range of grape varietals. The gentle south and east-facing slopes, along with meticulous artisanal winemaking practices such as the use of open wood barrels and a hydraulic basket press, ensure that each bottle captures the essence of this remarkable region.

Unified Excellence
The story of Le Pianelle is a testament to passion, collaboration and a deep connection to the land. Founded by Dieter Heuskel and Peter Dipoli, with co-partners Andrea Zanetta and Cristiano Garella, the winery began its official journey in 2010 with the acquisition of a historic farmhouse in Brusnengo. The farmhouse purchase came just in the knick of time for their first production, as they originally began rejuvenating a long forgotten vineyard in 2004. The team's diverse experiences and expertise have been instrumental in producing world-class Nebbiolo. Together, they embody the spirit of Le Pianelle, crafting wines that highlight the power of collaboration and the unique terroir of Alto Piemonte.
