Forged by Fire
Perched on the dramatic slopes of Mount Vesuvius, Villa Dora's vineyards are a testament to nature's raw power and beauty. Rising between 250 and 300 meters above sea level, these vineyards benefit from a uniquely sunny and breezy climate. The soil here is a vibrant tapestry of volcanic ash and lapilli, remnants of ancient eruptions that lend the land its distinctive character.
This fertile ground supports a diverse array of vineyards, each contributing its own unique soil profile and age to the mix. The result? A collection of vineyards that produce exceptional wines, deeply influenced by the volcanic landscape that surrounds them.

Volcanic Inspiration, Unleashed
Villa Dora's journey started in 1997 when Vincenzo Ambrosio, inspired by the volcanic heritage of Terzigno, set out to share the essence of his family's vineyards with the world. Vincenzo, deeply connected to the land passed down by his grandfather, was driven to showcase the rich history and unique characteristics of this volcanic terrain. Under his guidance, the winery embraced a philosophy of blending tradition with innovation. From building a cellar carved into rock to collaborating with renowned winemakers like Roberto Cipresso, Villa Dora has evolved into a beacon of modern winemaking. Today, under the expertise of Fabio Mecca, the winery continues to produce award-winning wines that reflect its volcanic origins and storied past.
