AMANTIS

TOSCANA

Quality without Compromises

Nestled amidst the slopes of the ancient volcano Monte Amiata, Amantis boasts a mosaic of unique soils and climates. The transition from warm days to cool, breeze-filled evenings also plays a crucial role in shaping the production of their harmonious, flavourful wines.

The grapes of each vineyard plot undergo separate fermentation and aging, honouring the unique requirements of each grape variety. Their production combines traditional methods with innovative techniques from various winemaking traditions, while meticulous grape selection occurs on a sorting table, ensuring only the finest are chosen by hand. They also hold the record for the densest vineyard in the world, which promotes growth competition leading to lower yields, but higher grape quality.

"One of the most important Sangiovese experts in the world"

Amantis was born from a family's passion for wine, and a love for the region of Toscana. Founded by Paolo Vagaggini, a famed Tuscan enologist alongside his wife Bernardetta Tacconi and son, Jacopo. Through meticulous research, they discovered the intriguing land of Montenero d'Orcia, and their journey began. The beautiful, unexplored scenery boasted potential with the surrounding slopes serving as protection from the elements, where they could allow for their creative expressions to thrive. Through the years they have proven their expertise by receiving an award in 2013, naming Paolo Vagaggini one of the top five winemakers in the world.
