A refined and elegant expression of Nebbiolo from the Bricco di Neive cru, with lifted aromas of wild cherry, raspberry, rose petals, mint, sweet spice, and hints of tobacco and iron. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and precise, showing fine-grained tannins, bright acidity, and a long mineral finish with notes of red berries, dried flowers, and subtle earthy complexity. Structured yet graceful, it combines the classic tension and perfume typical of Neive-grown Barbaresco.

Vinification

Produced from 100% Nebbiolo, the grapes are hand-harvested from the Bricco di Neive cru. Fermentation and maceration take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts for approximately 15–20 days. The wine is then aged for 26 months in large Slavonian oak casks, allowing the purity of the fruit and terroir to remain at the forefront. First produced in 2000, only around 400 cases are made annually

Vineyard

The Vie Erte vineyard is located in Neive, within the prestigious Bricco di Neive cru in the Barbaresco appellation. The southwest-facing vines sit at approximately 350 metres above sea level on calcareous-sandy soils, a combination that contributes elegance, aromatic lift, and finely textured tannins. The vines average around 20 years of age and are farmed with low yields to enhance concentration and site expression.
