Soave's charm
In the heart of Soave Classico, Suavia's vineyards stretch across the rolling volcanic hills like a patchwork of history and tradition. The winery’s location, perched at a high altitude, benefits from cooler temperatures and abundant sunshine, nurturing the Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave grapes that define their wines.
The unique volcanic soils, formed from ancient underwater eruptions, provide an exceptional mineral richness and complexity. This dynamic environment, where the ancient basalts and volcanic rocks interact with the vines, creates a perfect backdrop for crafting exceptional wines that reflect the essence of this storied terroir.

"Go and tell the uniqueness and beauty of my land”
The legacy of Suavia began in 1887 when Giuseppe Tessari established the family home on the Fittà hills. He cultivated the first vineyards with his own hands and sold his grapes to the local cantina, keeping a portion for his personal Recioto. In 1982, a century after Giuseppe's pioneering efforts, his son Giovanni and his wife Rosetta took a bold leap. They founded Suavia, a name that pays homage to the ancient city of Soave, and built a state of the art winery dedicated to bottling their own estate wines.
Today, their four daughters, Arianna, Meri, Valentina and Alessandra continue the family tradition with a commitment to quality and sustainability. They have embraced modern, non-invasive winemaking techniques, utilizing natural forces like gravity and lunar cycles to enhance their craft. Suavia’s focus remains singular, to elevate the region of Soave to new heights, crafting wines that are pure expressions of their unique volcanic soils and heritage.
