From the warm moraine and weathered porphyry soils of the south-facing slopes of S. Maddalena near Bolzano (300–350 m elevation), this wine is made from 90% Schiava and 10% Lagrein grapes grown on pergola-trained vines with a yield of 80 hl/ha.
