Tasting Notes: Ruby red colour with strong garnet/orange hues. The nose is complex and intense. Violets, cherries, licorice, anise, oriental spices with a lightly toasted note. The palate is austere although smoothened by elegant tannins, thanks to the extensive age of the vines. A lengthy finish renders this wine pleasant and enjoyable now.

Ageing/Vinification: Fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 7-8 days. Aged 22 months in 25hl French Oak: first 12 months in new oak.

Vineyard: This wine is made from a vineyard shared with the famed Gaja – perhaps one of the most famous producers in all of Barbaresco. 3.5 Hectares in the Barbaresco commune, with south-east facing vines on soil that is of medium texture tending towards clayey (calcareous marls).
