IAR Vuillermin Valle d'Aosta DOC
Case of 12 bottles
Bottle Size: 750 ml
Vintage: 2019
Varietals: Vullermin 90%, Red Native Varieties 10%
Alcohol %: 13
Region: Valle d'Aosta
Tasting Notes: Garnet red in colour with a complex bouquet including bergamot, ripe fruit and herbs. Well-harmonized with the toasted nuances acquired during the ageing process.
Ageing/Vinification: The grapes harvested in the first ten days of October were destemmed and left to macerate for 16 days in a fermentation vessel at a controlled temperature. The automated pump-over system made it possible to optimize the management of winemaking based on the fermentation strength. Following racking, the wines were aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, for approximately 2 months in steel tanks and for at least a month in the bottle.
Vineyard: The vineyards are located on the Aosta hill in the Cossan area (660 m above sea level) and at the foot of it in the La Rochère area (580 m above sea level) with southern exposure. The plots arranged in rittochino have an average slope of 40% and 10% respectively and soil rich in skeletal sandy loam texture.
