Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red in colour with garnet hues. Complex and elegant aromas of black cherry, red fruit preserved in alcohol, dried fruit, hints of undergrowth, along with light herbaceous and peppery notes. On the palate, full and enveloping. An elegant wine with velvety tannins and minerality that give structure and lasting persistence.

Ageing/Vinification: 8 days maceration, controlled low temperature fermentation in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts. Aged 14 months in stainless steel, followed by 9 months in bottle

Vineyard: The Vigna Madre is a certified Historical Vineyard in the Campi Flegrei area, hosting a plot of very old Piedirosso vines planted in 1935 in Bacoli, in the Campi Flegrei on the 'Pozzolani' hill. About 0.86h in size, they sit 50m above sea level with south west exposure on sandy soil, of volcanic origin with presence of ash and lapilli.
