Vinification

Hand-harvested Nebbiolo is fermented with indigenous yeasts and long skin contact, followed by malolactic fermentation and extended ageing in large oak casks, then additional bottle ageing before release as a Riserva.

Vineyard

The wine comes from the Vigna Mondoca parcel in the Bussia cru of Monforte d’Alba, a southwest-facing site at around 380 m with calcareous marl soils and mature vines that give structure, depth and longevity.
