Vinification

Alcoholic fermentation for 30 days on the skins at 25°C, in stainless steel tanks. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation during the spring. Aged 24 months in 25 Hl French and Slavonian oak botti. Filtered with 1 micron filters.

Vineyard

Gattinara is a very small appellation in Alto Piemonte. These vineyards are about 2.4h and about 250m to 500m above sea level with south/south west exposure. Volcanic soils composed by porphyry, granite and sand that are rich in iron and have acid pH values.
