Graci Etna Rosato DOC
$209.70 ($34.95/BTL)
As the last warm days of summer slip away, there’s no better way to savour them than with a glass of Graci Etna Rosato. This elegant rosé, with its delicate notes of red berries and a hint of minerality, captures the essence of summer in every sip. Crisp and refreshing, it’s the perfect companion for those lingering outdoor moments, whether you’re enjoying a late afternoon picnic or a sunset dinner on the patio.
Graci Etna Rosato embodies the unique terroir of Mount Etna, crafted primarily from hand-harvested Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on the northern slopes at altitudes of 600 to 1,000 meters. The volcanic soils and high elevation contribute to the wine's distinctive minerality and vibrant acidity. After gentle pressing, the juice undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve its fresh fruit flavours and aromatic complexity. Aged on fine lees for a few months, this rosé achieves a delicate balance with subtle texture and depth. The result is a beautifully refreshing wine, perfect for savouring during the remaining patio season, offering a true taste of Mount Etna’s rugged beauty in every glass.
Volcanic Vibes
Graci Winery, located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Passopisciaro, is a standout in Sicilian winemaking, renowned for its commitment to producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Specializing in indigenous grape varieties like Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Carricante, the winery embraces organic farming and minimal intervention, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to shine.
With vineyards situated at elevations ranging from 600 to 1,100 meters—among the highest in Europe—Graci’s wines are known for their elegance and complexity. Adding to its allure, the winery is home to some of the oldest vines in Sicily, with plots of Nerello Mascalese over 100 years old, offering a deep connection to Sicilian heritage. The dynamic terroir is further shaped by Mount Etna’s periodic eruptions, which renew the volcanic soil and contribute to the distinctive character of Graci’s wines, making each bottle a true reflection of the powerful natural forces at work.
