DAVIDE CARLONE – Colline Novaresi Bianco “Mariapia”

Pronunciation: “Air-bah-loo-chay” 

Grape
100% Erbaluce, a crisp and aromatic white variety native to northern Piedmont, known for its bright acidity, citrus character, and mineral edge.

Region
From the Colline Novaresi hills in northern Piedmont, between Lake Maggiore and the Alps. The cool alpine climate and volcanic soils give the wines freshness, tension, and finesse.

Tasting Notes
Delicate aromas of white flowers, lemon zest, and green apple. On the palate, it’s lively and precise, with saline minerality and a clean, persistent finish.

Vinification & Ageing
Fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve purity and crispness. Lees contact adds subtle texture and complexity.

Ageing Potential
Enjoy young for its brightness, though it can evolve over 3–4 years, gaining notes of almond and honey.

Food Pairing
Ideal with lake fish, shellfish, light salads, and vegetable antipasti.

Fun Fact
Davide Carlone is one of the few independent growers reviving ancient vineyards in Boca and the Novara hills, continuing a winemaking tradition that dates back to Roman times.

 

 

BRANDINI – “Le Margherite” Langhe Arneis DOC

Pronunciation: “Ahr-nays”

Grape
100% Arneis, the signature white grape of Piedmont, known for its floral bouquet and generous texture.

Region
From the Langhe hills of Piedmont, a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its rolling vineyards and truffle-laden forests.
Tasting Notes
Bright and expressive with notes of white peach, pear, and chamomile. Medium-bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel balanced by refreshing acidity and a gentle almond finish.

Vinification & Ageing
Fermented in stainless steel with short lees ageing to enhance body and aromatic complexity.

Ageing Potential
Best enjoyed within 3–4 years for freshness and purity of fruit.

Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with antipasti, seafood risotto, and light poultry dishes.

CANTINE LONARDO – Campania Bianco IGP “Grecomusc’"

Pronunciation: “Roh-vehl-loh Byahn-koh”

Grape
100% Roviello Bianco, locally called Grecomusc’, an ancient and rare white grape native to Campania, rediscovered and preserved by the Lonardo family.

Region
From Irpinia in the heart of Campania, a mountainous area inland from Naples, known for its volcanic soils and high-altitude vineyards.

Tasting Notes
Straw yellow with golden reflections. Aromas of quince, wild herbs, and flint. The palate is textured and mineral-driven, with firm acidity and notes of citrus peel, hazelnut, and smoke.

Vinification & Ageing
Fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees for several months to build texture and savoury complexity.

Ageing Potential
Remarkably ageworthy, 8–10 years or more. Evolving toward honey, almond, and saline notes.

Food Pairing
Perfect with seafood in rich sauces, grilled vegetables, or creamy risotto.

Cantine Lonardo’s work with Grecomusc’ helped save the variety from extinction, showcasing Irpinia’s viticultural biodiversity and history.

 

SAN PATRIGNANO – Rubicone Bianco IGT “Aulente Bianco”


Grape

Primarily Chardonnay with a touch of Sauvignon Blanc, combining the roundness of the former with the aromatic brightness of the latter.

Region
From the gentle hills of Rimini in Emilia-Romagna, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The vineyards benefit from marine breezes and clay-limestone soils that give the wines freshness and character.

Tasting Notes
Brilliant straw yellow. The nose opens with white flowers, citrus, and ripe pear, followed by hints of tropical fruit and almond. The palate is crisp and lively, with refreshing acidity, a silky texture, and a pleasantly savoury finish.

Vinification & Ageing
Fermented in stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity and aged briefly on the lees to enhance body and balance.

Ageing Potential
Best enjoyed within 3–5 years for its vibrant fruit and freshness.

Food Pairing
An excellent match for seafood pasta, grilled fish, or light poultry dishes. Also delightful as an aperitivo.
