Case of 6 bottles

Bottle Size: 750 ml

Vintage: 2017

Varietals: Nebbiolo 100%

Region: Piemonte

Tasting Notes: Bright ruby red, pretty intense, with a tendency to orange reflections if aged. On the nose, very intense, fruity with hints of violet, followed by red and ripe fruits and spices. The palate is dry, harmonious, full-bodied wine, well-balanced tannins, reminiscent of cherries, berries, spices.

Ageing/Vinification: After sorting on a vibrating table, destemming and soft pressing takes place, causing the grapes to flow into steel tanks at a controlled temperature by gravity. Start of spontaneous fermentation, and maceration on the skins for 7-10 days at a maximum controlled temperature below 28°C, repeating punching down and pumping over about twice a day. The wine is decanted and matures in steel tanks at a controlled temperature for at least 12 months. After bottling, the right amount of time is left for final refinement.

Vineyard: Vineyards are located in the Tenuta Cascina Chignalungo (Municipality of Lessona), facing from South-East to South-West, 290m above sea level. Coarse and heterometric gravelly-sandy fluvioglacial soils, profoundly altered and partly ruined, surmounted by loessic, silty clayey top levels. Acidic soils (pH 4.5-5.4) with an orange, yellow and dark brown colour. They are rich in minerals such as manganese and iron, which strongly affect the gustatory characteristics of the wine.
