Castello di Luzzano Vena Rossa Gutturnio Superiore DOC
Case of 12 bottles
Bottle Size: 750 ml
Vintage: 2022
Varietals: Barbera 60%, Bonarda 40%
Alcohol %: 14
Region: Emilia-Romagna
Tasting Notes: An intense and brilliant ruby red color and an intensely fruity and vinous aroma. In the mouth it is full, tasty and dry. It is a perfectly balanced wine that retains the strength of Barbera refined and completed by the aroma and pleasantness of Bonarda.
Ageing/Vinification: The destemmed and pressed grapes are left in the fermentation tanks for 5/6 days with short and frequent pumping over at a temperature of 26-27°C. These conditions allow us to obtain a wine in which the vinous and fruity characteristics are best balanced. After racking, the wine finishes its alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation. It then undergoes several rackings during the winter which gradually clarify it and is bottled in spring.
Vineyard: Estate vineyards located in the municipality of Ziano, on the Piacentini hills in Valtidone. The ferreted clays of the soil and the slopes between 270m and 220m above sea level are perfect for enhancing the aromas and the most specific characteristics of intense tannins and excellent acidity.
