Tasting Notes: A subtle, bouquet which recalls red berry fruit, currants and raspberries, with “owery notes of rose petals. Lively and enjoyable, with a defined red fruit flavour. The acidity typical of this grape variety is perfectly balanced by a likable sugar content.
Ageing/Vinification: Soft pressing of the grapes in reducing conditions. Primary alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of about 17 °C, cleaning of the base obtained in this way, second fermentation in the Charmat method at a controlled temperature of about 16 °C and subsequent stay on the lees for about 60 days.
Vineyard: The Le Monde vineyard is located in the Grave del Friuli area, shaped by the rivers that have deposited here the calcareous-dolomitic material torn from the mountains and carried downstream along their bed. These plots mainly consist of clayey-calcareous soils of alluvial origin, which cover the underlying gravelly layer and exalt the aromas of our best white wines. The soil, however, is also rich in microelements important for black grape varieties, which benefit from particular microclimatic conditions.
