Voerzio Martini Barolo DOCG La Serra

Case of 6 bottles

Bottle Size: 750 ml

Vintage: 2019

Varietals: Nebbiolo 100%

Alcohol %: 14.5

Region: Piemonte

Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red in colour with shades of light amaranth and garnet red. Intense aromas, with notes of ripe red fruit, fresh strawberry jam and wild blackberries and hints of vanilla. The palate is full, smooth, almost opulent in its power. Rich with good tannic balance with cocoa and overripe fruits notes. Well-structured wine, with great longevity and power.

Ageing/Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation takes place with emerged cap in stainless steel tanks and it lasts 14/15 days. This process takes place with controlled temperature and oxygenation. All the operations after the fermentation are made using nitrogen in order to protect the wine from oxygen, to preserve aromatic and colorant substances and to limit the use of sulfites. After the malolactic fermentation, the ageing takes place in wood. Tonneaux are used: 500 Lt, French oak (60% new, 40% second passage) for 24 / 30 months to give low hints of wood at the wine.

Vineyard: Vineyards are located in the most historical, sunny and prestigious area of La Morra. The vines were planted in 1971, and are about 430m above sea level with south west exposure. The soil is characterized by the Marne of Sant’Agata: they are mixed clay, fine sand and calcareous components.
