2022 Abbazia di Novacella Schiava Alto Adige DOC
100% Schiava. Light, fruity, and low-tannin profile that is delightfully ruby-red, complemented by a fresh, fruity bouquet. On the palate, it offers a dry and elegant experience with pleasant acidity and a soft yet lingering finish. Situated in the Isarco Valley of northern Italy, Abbazia di Novacella is a historic winery with deep roots to the Augustinian Canons Regular. This religious order, active in the Catholic Church since the 12th century, has overseen the abbey and its associated winery for centuries, contributing to the legacy of their exceptional wines.
2022 Lodali Dolcetto d’Alba DOC
100% Dolcetto. In the glass, the wine is ruby-red with a youthful purple rim and captivates us with fine and intense aromas, featuring lovely notes of red fruit. On the palate, it unfolds as a full and harmonious experience, offering soft tannins that conclude with a smooth finish. Walter Lodali, a third-generation winemaker, proudly carries forward the family legacy in Langhe, Piedmont. The winemaking tradition, initiated by Giovanni's post-war endeavors, evolves through the expertise of his son Lorenzo and the dedication of Rita, Lorenzo’s wife. In 1998, the reins were assumed by Walter, son of Lorenzo and Rita, showcasing a steadfast commitment to quality and innovation in the continuation of this remarkable winemaking journey.
2022 Mamete Prevostini, ‘Santa Rita’ Rosso di Valtellina DOC
100% Nebbiolo. This wine captivates the senses with a nose that unfolds fragrant and fruity scents of fresh berries, seamlessly transitioning into the delightful aromas of fresh flowers like roses and violets. The palate is fresh with full, chewy tannins, exhibiting good persistence. Mamete Prevostini, a renowned winery in the Valtellina region of northern Italy, has earned acclaim for its commitment to producing high-quality wines, focusing on the Nebbiolo grape variety. The winery stands out for its dedication to traditional winemaking practices, skilfully capturing the unique terroir of the Valtellina area in each bottle.
2021 Zerbina ‘Poggio Vicchio’ Romagna Sangiovese Superiore DOC
100% Sangiovese. This fruit-forward wine, showcasing morello and red cherry notes, typical of the red clay of Marzeno, boasts a subtle mineral touch on the finish. A refreshing wine with lean silky tannins is well supported by the pleasant acidity. Zerbina, situated in the Emilia-Romagna, is an esteemed winery recognized for its dedication to producing outstanding wines with a focus on Sangiovese and Albana grape varieties. 2021 Fattoria La Rivolta Aglianico ‘Vigneti di Bruma’ IGT
100% Aglianico. This wine is a heartfelt dedication to the founders of the Bruno and Mario family, designed for daily enjoyment and wine enthusiasts alike. With mouth-filling tannins, this wine offers a youthful character with aromas of ripe red fruit and pepper. The palate unfolds with a delightful combination of cherry and spiciness, creating a very persistent and interesting wine. Fattoria La Rivolta, a renowned Italian winery located in the Campania region, is celebrated for its unwavering commitment to organic and biodynamic farming practices. 2020 Carvinea Negroamaro Salento IGT
100% Negroamaro. This ruby-red gem, boasting typical notes of ripe red fruit, dark chocolate, and licorice, delivers a pleasant experience for full-bodied red wine lovers. Mouth-filling, ripe tannins along with its balanced structure contribute to its clean and straightforward interpretation of the grape, making it a delightful and easy-to-drink choice. Carvinea, a dynamic winery established in the early 2000s in Carovigno, Puglia, has consistently impressed with its noteworthy wines.
