Tasting Notes: Herbal tinge, crushed rocks, purple flower and raspberry notes. The wine is deep and broad.

Ageing/Vinification: Fermentation in steel vats, followed by malolactic. Aged 18 months in large neutral oak barrels.

Vineyard: Contrada Sciaranuova is located at 850m above sea level on Mount Etna. In Sicilian, “sciara nuova” means “new lava flow.” The vines were planted 70 to 100 years ago on relatively new lava flow from the 1600s that has turned into thick gravel.
