Tasting Notes: Brilliant ruby red colour and a fresh, clean nose with sour black cherry hints and a touch of iodine. Elegant, with citrus notes. On the palate, grippy but very elegant, with pleasant tannins that make it very drinkable, and a savoury, mineral finish.

Ageing/Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation in French oak vats; malolactic fermentation in French oak casks, where the ageing continues for 14 to 16 months before blending. Then 6 to 8 months of bottle maturation.

Vineyard: Vineyard is about 0.6h in Castiglione d'Orcia, between 320m to 480m above sea level with west/south west exposure. Soil is vertical fissile schist, with some clay.
